Online booking terms and conditions

Terms of contract

Please read these online booking terms and conditions carefully. These terms cover services KIMS Hospital provides or are arranged by KIMS Hospital on behalf of Consultants who practise at KIMS Hospital or Sevenoaks Medical Centre, and are booked online.

These terms, together with the patient terms and conditions, form part of the contract for patients who book online. If these terms conflict or contradict with the private patient terms and conditions, then these terms shall take precedence. Any defined terms in the private patient terms and conditions shall have the same meaning when used in these terms.

KIMS Hospital may update these terms and conditions from time to time, however, changes will only apply to any new appointment and you will be asked to agree to any new terms before they become effective.

Booking

KIMS Hospital’s online booking service is only for the following:

  • initial outpatient consultations with a Consultant
  • initial physical therapy appointments
  • private GP appointments

Any follow-up appointments will need to be arranged with our outpatients booking team on 01622 237727, or with the Consultant’s medical secretary.

You must be 18 years of age or older to use our online booking service.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:

Consultants involved in your care are independent practitioners. Accordingly, KIMS Hospital will not be liable for any act or omission of a Consultant; the Consultant will be responsible for the care he or she provides you.

Paying for your own treatment

If you are paying for your own treatment, the price will be displayed once you have selected an appointment date and time. The booking will not be confirmed until a payment has been made online.

In the case of self-funding appointments with Consultants, payment for the initial consultation is with KIMS Hospital. Any follow up consultations will be paid to the Consultant and is usually payable after the consultation has taken place.

Using private medical insurance

If you are booking an appointment using private medical insurance, you will need your insurance membership number and an authorisation code for treatment to complete the booking. Please contact your insurer directly if you have any questions.

Prior to booking your appointment you will be responsible for checking with your insurer that your insurer’s policy covers the Care contemplated by you. This includes any additions to your treatment such as blood tests and imaging, equipment or medication provided during an outpatient consultation. If any part of the treatment is not covered under your insurance policy, you will be required to pay for it.

Cancellation

Please contact KIMS Hospital’s enquiries team on 01622 237727 as soon as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
